The Golden Monkey

So to mix things up I decided to do a colored pencil piece again for this week's post.  This is a Golden Lion Tamarin.  We found it at the zoo when we went a couple of weeks ago.  They are native to Brazil, but they are becoming extinct as their habitat shrinks. Pretty cool looking monkeys though so I decided to draw him.  Their tails are incredibly long, probably like three times the length of their bodies.
