We found this bird on a trip to the zoo. We went at that perfect time...when pretty much all of the animals were sleeping. It seems I always go to the zoo when the animals are all asleep. Go figure. But we caught this bird right at lunch time instead and he sat and ate happily while we looked at him. Quite a model subject I must say I'll have to work with him more often. Or was it a her?
In other news I've started doing miniature pictures. They are all 2.5" x 3.5". It's fun because each piece is done in about twenty minutes and they are charming little snapshots of scenes and moments. I've been thinking of doing them and then handing them out or selling them (for like five bucks or so) at events and farmers markets and stuff. Here are a couple of the ones I've done.
