Worth Noticing

I was watching this video today on Youtube and I was thinking about how much we ignore the beautiful things in this life and how apt we are to notice even the smallest negative things.  How wonderful would our lives be if we could overlook the small problems in our lives and notice and be thankful for all the wonderful things that are around us.  I guess that is one reason I really want to create art and share it.  I want to spend more of my life noticing the good of this world and help others to do the same.  When we change our perspective and live in thanksgiving daily, suddenly the bad things in our lives just don't seem so bad anymore and we see the world more like children see it, full of wonder and beauty and grace.  I was thinking of this as I saw all the dandelions growing, well all over.  For so long I have thought of them as weeds just like everyone does, but I stopped to notice the brightness and the cheerfulness of the yellow flowers and remembered how I used to blow the white seeds when I was a kid and watch them drift on the breeze.  I thought of how often our perspective makes so many things in life seem like weeds, ugly and problematic, when maybe just a change in our perspective can make those weeds a little more beautiful.
So take some time this week to pay attention to things you see every day but don't notice anymore.  What do you see?  What are you thankful for?  Share with us what you find and what you see in the comments below.

By the way I want to thank everyone who went to our boutique yesterday and grabbed a flyer.  I couldn't be there for the whole thing but I appreciate everyone who came and checked us out.  I've also been working on your different flowers and should have some up this week, I just had this on my mind and wanted to share.

  1. This is so true! We are so preoccupied with the hustles and bustles of our daily lives that we forget to admire the beauty in the simplicity around us. I believe that the more simple we make our own lives, the more we are in tune to - and attract - the simple blessings that the Lord freely shares with us on a regular basis.
