Today's piece is a little quicker. I liked my other desert picture so I decided to do more desert stuff. This was also one of my first attempts at designing something. Fantasy and sci-fi art is big into massive scale things, so I wanted to try designing a massive skyscraper out in the desert somewhere. I was pretty pleased with how it turned out, especially considering that I worked on it for less than an hour. I still need to keep refining my use of perspective, but that will come in time. I want to be able to do things fast like this and then go back and touch them up and refine them. Really, from what I've been learning the idea is the most important part. The design itself. The details and realism you add is more icing on the cake, especially when you are on a deadline.
